The 2023 FW45 livery is an evolution of the FW44 predecessor, the method being that each year we would evolve the livery to retain brand recognition and grow the Williams Racing brand equity on track.
The design when sat next to the original 2022 car is very different but the application of the details help to keep the overall look and feel similar.
The challenge for the 2023 design was more around the technical / engineering side as we wanted to keep as much of the design on the car as possible without striping back colour, while also driving down the weight and upping the car performance.
We achieved this by developing new livery application methods and reworking the finishes paint finish.
My role was to work closely with the Williams senior board, technical team and production team from brief to final production. I was responsible for designing the livery, livery production, design / art & creative directed all team collateral, Design of F2 and F3 liveries.
