The concept:
Electrify and bring Williams into a new era of racing whilst giving a subtle nod to the past. The faded design and paint used to produce the livery was specially developed with PPG to change colour in specific lights in order to show hints of navy blue in the contours and shadows of the car’s bodywork as it moved along the racetrack. My role within the project was to lead the entirety of the livery and brand project, consult and manage key stakeholders including Senior Directors and also work with the car paint shop and engineering and production teams in order to implement the new livery and paint scheme across all collateral items. In addition to this, my role also included the colour development project, where I worked closely with PPG (paint supplier) to create custom colours and paint samples, Fanatics on team clothing, Williams Marketing team to art / creative direct and produce all team content.
